THE PARIS NEWS, Jul. 15, 2002: “Lucile Conder Haddock, 81, of Paris died Friday, July 12, 2002. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, in Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Peter Durichek, Allen Priest and Brett Bauer officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She was born on March 25, 1921 in Paris to William Arthur and Effie Van Meter Conder. She married Leon Haddock on Oct. 12, 1969. She was a Seventh Day Adventist and a machine operator for Cummer-Graham Factory. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sharon Vallier; grandson Todd Vallier; and brothers, Earl and Bill Conder. Survivors include her husband, Leon Haddock of Paris; sons, James Boyd Jr. of San Angelo and Joe Boyd of North Carolina; daughter, Carol L. Boyd of Paris; sister, Velma Strickland of Paris; grandsons, Jeff S. Smallwood of Paris, Glynn Olsen of Menifee, Calif., and Ray Boyd of San Angelo; granddaughters, Amber Vallier McKee of Dallas and Shana Boyd Johanson of Tahoe City, Calif.; and five great-grandchildren.
