Phillip A. Kimbrell
The service for Phillip Almon Kimbrel, 61, Town Creek, was at 2 p.m. Monday at Shelton Funeral Home, Decatur, with the Revs. Charles Burns and William Beck officiating. Entombment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Town Creek.
He died Saturday in an automobile accident on Alabama 20, 1 mile north of Trinity.
He was a veteran of World War II, a retired millwright and a member of the Town Creek Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Kimbrel, Town Creek; sons, Gary Kimbrel, Greensboro, Denny Kimbrell, Killen, Ricky Kimbrel, Hillsboro; daughters, Judy Sofford, Morgan City, La., Amelia Cross, Town Creek, Vicky Garrett, Pelham; mother, Mrs. Edna Kimbrel, Courtland; brother, Robert Kimbrel, Decatur; sisters, Mrs. Alice Greenhaul, Athens, Mrs. Sue Dyar, Moulton, Mrs. Ann Evans, Panama City, Fla.; 10 grandchildren.
