Wallie (Wally) Braune Voss Brietzke of Geronimo, Texas died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2007. She was born in Womack, TX to F.C. and Gertrude Braune on Sept. 28, 1908. The family later moved to New Braunfels, Texas, where she was confirmed and married to Reinhard Voss at the First Protestant Church. Wallie celebrated her 99th birthday at the Eden Home in New Braunfels, where she resided for the last nine years.
Wallie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Reinhard Voss; second husband Raymond Brietzke; daughter, Elta Mae Voss; sister, Elvira Nichols and husband, Walter.
Survivors include daughter, Leila Arlitt and husband, Gilbert, grandson, Durwin Clint Niemann and wife, Susan; great-granddaughters, Monica, Katie, and Dayna Niemann; two nieces; one nephew and the Brietzke family.
Visitation will be at Palmer Mortuary Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 2-8 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 5-8 p.m.
Funeral service will be Thursday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. at Friedens Church, Geronimo, Texas. Interment will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
