Funeral services for Alvin Friesenhahn of 420 Bear Creek Road will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Selma with Father Don Murray and Deacon
Clifford Friesenhahn officiating. A rosary will be recited tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home.
The self-employed farmer, who also served as a Bexar County Deputy Sheriff in the 1930s, passed away Jan. 10 at McKenna Memorial hospital at the age of 82. He will be
buried at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery No. 2.
He was born In Selma to Henry and Anna (nee Acker) Friesenhahn. His wife, the former Elsie G. Gleltz, preceeded him In death.
He was affiliated with the Holy Family Church in New Braunfels. He was a member of Herrman Sons, Knights of Columbus Council No. 4183 and the Catholic Life Insurance
Association.
He is survived by a daughter, Esther Schuh of San Antonio; a son, David A. Friesenhahn of New Braunfels; three grandchildren.
