Mr. Davis had lived in High Ridge for most of his life. He was vice president at Jefferson Bank and Trust in Eureka.
He was born in Evansville, Ind., and moved to Missouri in 1959. From 1967 to 1968, he served as a U.S. Marine in Vietnam for which he was awarded a purple heart. He graduated from Jefferson College in Hillsboro in 1970.
Mr. Davis began his career as a banker at Boatman's National Bank and was one of the founding officers of Heritage National Bank.
He was active in the community, serving as a member of the St. Louis Chamber of Commerce and the Webster Groves Chamber of Commerce, where he was president from 1991 to 1992. He was a current member of the Eureka Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Davis was also a member of the Lion's Club and attended St. Martin's United Church of Christ in High Ridge.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30 in Cedar Hill . Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. on Monday at the mortuary.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Richardson Davis of High Ridge; two sons, Scott Wayne Davis of Shrewsbury and David Andrew Davis of Jackson, Tenn.; his parents, Elton and Marie Davis of High Ridge; and two sisters, Joyce Ann Strong of Washington, D.C., and Sharon Kay Powell of Fenton.
Contributions can be made to the Lion's Club Eye Foundation through the group's local chapters.
