Dr. Kenneth B. Lysiak of Portage passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Porter Hospital Valparaiso Campus. He was 58.

Born January 31, 1952 in Gary, he was the son of Eugene Lysiak, who survives in Liberty Township, and his mother, Alice (Pultz) Lysiak, who preceded him in death.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his daughter Alexa Gilkerson of Amanda, Ohio; three grandchildren, Christian, Cory and Justin; brother, Roger (Susan) Lysiak of Lafayette, Ind.; and one sister, Evelyn Rogers of Valparaiso.

In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his former wife, Anthoula Papevangelou of Crown Point, three nieces, four nephews, and a brother, Jerry Lysiak.

Ken established the Lysiak Chiropractic Offices in Crown Point and Portage. He enjoyed fishing.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 3 at 11 a.m. at the White-Love Funeral Home, 525 South 2nd Street, Chesterton. Burial will follow at Chesterton Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 2 from 2 to 6 p.m.
