EFFIE M. OWEN, 98, of Millington, died of heart failure Wednesday at Shelby Pines Nursing Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel with burial in West Union Cemetery in Millington. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Millington. Mrs. Owen, the widow of Spencer Owen, leaves three daughters, Lillie Rider of Bethel Island, Calif., Etta Pearl Green of Millington and Irma Lambert of Memphis; three sons, Carlton Owen of Memphis, Leon Owen of Victoria, Miss., and Chester Owen of Millington, 29 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
