Bethel Morse, 90, of the Piney Community died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was a native of Eastland County, Texas, daughter of the late Tyson and Minnie Parilla Rutherford Hollis, widow of W. D. (Don) Morse, owner of the Bel Air Motel in Austin, Texas, member of London Chapter No. 505 Order of the Eastern Star, Piney Extension Homemakers Club, and the Piney Bible Church, former member of the United Methodist Church at London; and was preceded in death by one daughter, Bethel Helen Elmore; and one sister, Lela Mae Hollis Mayo.
Survivors include one son, Donald Glenn Morse of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Minnie Oleta Tillman of London, Arkansas and Donna Glenell Simpson Underwood of McGregor, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rozelle Franks of Lockhart, Texas, and Marie Wagner of Hamilton, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Piney Bible Church with Rev. Steve Maczko and Josh Bazyk (great-grandson) officiating.
Burial was at Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Home of Russellville, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to the Gideons International, P. O. Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.
