George Doane, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Doane of Milford, died Thursday morning at about two o'clock from the effects of influenza. The disease visited the Doane family, ever member being affected. Mr. and Mrs. Doane were among the first American families to lose a son in the war with Germany. THe young man was in the navy and was accidentaly drowned while bathing off one of the training boats.
