Miss Roxy V. Ammerman, 81, York resident for 30 years, died Monday afternoon, December 5, 1960, at the Cummings Rest Home in York.

She was born September 18. 1879, near Bloomington, Ind. At the age of three, she came to Fairmont with her parents. She graduated from Fairmont high school and took post graduate work in music and art.

Miss Ammerman was a composer of both vocal and instrumental music and was an art collector.

She held memberships in the D.A.R, the Daughters of Founders and Patriots of American, the Nebraska Genealogical Society and the Untied States Daughters of 1812. She belonged to the Methodist Church at Fairmont.

There are no surviving relatives. Graveside services were held at the Fairmont Cemetery Wednesday at 3 o'clock, Rev. J.C. Morgan and Rev. Robert Enck officiating.

She was the only child of James R. and Harriett (Eller) Ammerman. She had no surviving relatives at the time of her death.
