Mabel C. Adams, 96, of Philippi, passed away Thursday, October 13th, at Altercare of Louisville, OH, following a 2 year illness. She was born in Philippi on August 26, 1920, a daughter of the late Walter and Lucinda (Newman) Croston.
On February 7, 1940, she was married to Dorsey Edward Adams, who preceded her in death on July 30, 1988. Surviving is one son, Dorsey Adams Jr., of Canton, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Mayle, great-grandson Jeremy Mayle, a sister and 2 brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, October 17, 2016, from the Stemple & Forman Funeral Home, at 966 South Main St., Philippi. The Rev. Menelus Mayle will officiate and interment will following in the Welch Cemetery.
