She was born July 20, 1956, in Madison, the daughter of James Rodney and Rose Ann Jackson Bibb. She worked as a line operator for 17 years with F.A.S. Plastics. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and raising flowers.
She is survived by two daughters, Angela Shafer and Amy Sommer both of Hanover; two sons, Jason Bibb of New Washington and Jeffery Garvey of Hanover; four sisters, Brenda Hardin of Lexington, Nancy Jewell of Longmont, Colo., Jennifer Huttsell of Hanover and Jama Vega of San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, who died June 1, 1981; her mother, who died May 14, 2009; one sister, Eunice Bibb; and one brother, Tony R. Bibb, who died July 15, 1981.
The funeral was at Vail-Holt Funeral Homes Hanover Chapel. Burial was in New Prospect Cemetery.
