A five weeks old child was killed and seven others seriously injured in a two car auto crash Sunday evening at the Lake Pleasant and Burnside roads intersection.
Frances, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kohler of Detroit, died shortly after the crash. Mr. and Mrs. Kohler and their son escaped serious injury but Mrs. Anna Kowatt, 53, Mrs. George Kowatt, 29, and Mrs. Archie Watters, al of Detroit, were taken to the Lapeer City hospital with serious injuries.
Ernest Spencer, 23, Dryden, driver of the second car, and occupants, Winifred Clark, 19, Mayville, Phyllis Burgess, Imlay City; Victor Donnoe, Bad Axe, were also taken to the hospital here with serious injuries.
Sheriff George Carrigan, who investigated stated that the Kohler car struck the Spencer car as it was making the crossing.
