She is the daughter of Daniel Pickett Sr. Conn., and 1st wife, [Hannah possibly Taylor]; Daniel married 2nd Mrs. Mary Walker Elder, widow of Samuel T Elder. The Pickett's moved from Connecticut to New York to New Orleans to Jackson County.
Marilla had two known brothers, Daniel and John, and Ira may also be a brother.
1. Daniel L. Pickett, b 1805, married 1st Amelia Ferrill, dau of John Ferrill & Susannah Williamson. They lived in Jackson Co Miss 1820-1840, divorced. Daniel married 2nd Harriet Wilson, lived in 1850 Washington Co Ala.
2. John Pickett b 1815, married Nancy Kirkwood. John died about 1849.
