Actor. Born in San Antonio, Texas, he was a popular character actor in films and made numerous appearances on television shows. He made his big screen debut during the silent film era, appearing in "The Ghost Breaker" (1914) and went on to appear in over 250 movies. His credits include "To Have and to Hold" (1916), "Babbitt" (1924), "Tom Sawyer" (1930), "Susanna Pass" (1949) and "Wink of an Eye" (1958). For television, he was a regular on the series "Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok", "The Lone Ranger", "The Abbott and Costello Show" and "The Ford Television Theatre" He died in Hollywood, California, at age 64.
