A memorial service for Sandra June (McClain) Allen, 62, of Newark, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Newark Chapel of Henderson, VanAtta & Johnston Funeral services, with the Rev. Bruce Hissong officiating. Inurnment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Allen, a homemaker, died Jan. 13 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born March 5, 1940, in Long Run WV, to the late Gifford J. and Elsie E. (Blevins) McClain. Mrs. Allen was a member of the Blacklick Church in Long Run WV.
She is survived by her children, Clair Elaine Allen, Gary D. Allen, Ronald K. Allen, all of Newark; granddaughter, Sarah J. Allen; brothers and sisters-in-law, Samuel J. and Bonnie McClain, James W. and Wilma McClain, Thomas G. McClain, Joseph D. and Correna McClain, and Dennis R. and Christina McClain and sister and brother-in-law, Shirley M. and Richard Feuerriegel of Opelika AL; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald K. McClain.
