He was an Army veteran of WWII and a veteran of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was retired from TVA and a former member of Laborers International Union 366.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence, with the Rev. Henry Melton, officiating. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife Estelle Smith Blackstock, Florence, sons Ernest E "Babe" Blackstock, James A Blackstock, Lance Blackstock, all of Florence; daughter, Nelda Doris Albright, Nashville, Tn; Brother Robert Cecil Blackstock, Florence; sister Willie Mae Wilson, Florence; 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
