Al. Foremaster Passes, His Sufferings Ended

------

Albert Foremaster ended this life April 27 1919, of cancer of the face from which he had been a constant sufferer for the past four years and which started about seven years ago.

He was born at Beloit, Wisconsin January 9 1853, a son of Frederick William and Sophia Lindoo Foremaster. With his parents he came to Utah in 1860 and to St. George in 1863; was married in 1876 to Mary Ann Lang who died the same year.

He afterwards in 1880, married Sarah Ida Witbank at the St George temple, and of this union five children survive, as follows Mrs. Anna Faubion of Nampa, Idaho, Miss Mary Foremaster of St. George, Mrs. Josephine Stratton of Central, Miss Florence and Miss Ruth Foremaster of St George.

He is also survived by his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Mary S Maudhley of St George and Mrs. Martha Bennett of Holden, and two brothers Ephriam of St. George and Joseph F of Alamo NV.

For a number of years he was a stockman. He sold out his cattle several years ago and invested his means in other industries; he was largely interested in the Nelson Mercantile. Co, of this city and was a one third owner of the old Maudhley ranch at Central.

He was a good, kindly man, a devoted husband, a loving father and a sincere friend. He suffered great agony during the latter part of his life yet bore his anguish with great fortitude and was optimistic to the end.

Funeral services were held in the tabernacle on Monday, April, 28, Elder Frank G Miles of the East ward Bishopric presiding.

The speakers, Elders George E Miles, Brigham Jarvis, R A. Morris Sr. Thos. P Cottam and Edw. H Snow, paying tribute to the sterling good qualities of the deceased and offering consolation to the bereaved.

The musical numbers were a solo by Miss Metta Carter, "Sometime we'll understand", a solo by Mrs. Mamie Paxman, "I know that my redeemer lives", a trio by Mrs. W. R. Pike, Mrs. D. R. Forsha and Mrs. Nellie Bringhurst and a duet by Mrs.
Nellie Bringhurst and Mrs. Mamie Paxman.

Interment was made in the City Cemetery the grave being dedicated by Elder John Cottam.
