Mrs. Anna Gerencser, 88, of the Golden Age Manor, died at 6:15 a.m. today in the nursing home after an extended illness. She was born June 6, 1883 in Sopron Megye, Hungary, and had lived here 70 years, coming from Hungary. Her husband, Joseph Gerencer, died in 1933.
Surviving are five sons, Michael, Paul, Alex, all of South Bend, Julius of Elwood, Ind., and Steve of Mishawaka; a daughter, Mrs. Ann VanWanzeele of South Bend; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Louis Nagy of South Bend.
