Robert Lee Sudheimer, son of Fritz and Susan A. Sudheimer, was born August 2, 1884, and died September 18, 1936, at his home near Hughes Chapel at the age of 52 years, 1 month and 16 days. He was united in Marriage December 9, 1906, to Miss Emma Wiles and to this union were born three children, Charles, who is employed at the State Reformatory at Algoa, Leota, who died several ago and a son who died in infancy. Besides his wife and son, Charles, he leaves five brothers, John Sudheimer of Hazelton, Louis Sudheimer of Marissa, Illinois; G. P. Sudheimer of Granite City, Illinois; Oliver Coffey of Vista and Squire Coffey of Wichila, Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Sudheimer of Evening Shade; Mrs. R. J. Smith of Carbondale, Ill., and Mrs. J H. Medley of Springfield. Mr. Sudheimer had been in bad health for a number of years and had suffered a number of paralytic strokes, the last of which caused his death. Funeral services, in charge of Carl A. Baldwin of Vienna and Undertaker Fred Gilbert of Dixon, were held Sunday afternon from the Methodist church in Vienna with burial in the Vienna cemetery.
