Birth Name was Hinderk Peters Wiltfang.
Henry Peter Wiltfang , 84, died Wednesday, Dec 5, after a three month's illness. Born in Germany, Mr. Wiltfang was the son of Peter and Nanka Wiltfang and when he was six months old the family left Germany and settled in Illinois. Later the family moved to Nebraska. He was confirmed in the St. Paul Evangelical church in Osage, Nebr., and on February 22, 1894, he was united in marriage to Miss Tobina Klassmeyer of Osage. To this union nine children were born, four sons and five daughters. They moved to Brunswick in 1911 where they made their home for many years. His wife passed away January 19, 1929. He is survived by his nine children, Mrs. Nettie Jessen and Ulfert Wiltfang of Brunswick, Pete of Los Angeles, Oscar of Lincoln, Miss Ann Wiltfang of Osmond, Mrs. Elsie Brokaw, Mrs. Esther Nordstrom of Norfolk, Carl of Hastings, and Frieda Lieser of Omaha. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Lizzie Damme, and two brothers, Theodore and Albert all of Cook, Nebr. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon in the Brunswick Congregational church withg Rev. Clarence Hanscom in charge. Interment was in the Brunswick Cemetery. "Safe in the arms in Jesus," "Abide with Me," and "Nearer My God to Thee" were sung by Mrs. John Dean, Mrs. S.R. Reed, Mrs. George Dirks, Mrs. L.V. Moore, Mrs. Harvey Larson, Mrs. Riley Rouse, R.E. Cole, George Dirks and Riley Rouse, accompanied by R.E. Cole. The ladies in charge of the flowers were Mrs. Frederick Stutheit and Mrs. Melbourn Dirks. Pallberers were Ed Wahrer, John Dean, Frederick Stutheit. Attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wiltfang and daughter of Hastings, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Nordstrom and family, and Mrs. Elsie Brokaw and family all of Norfolk; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lieser of Omaha, Miss Ann Wiltfang of Osmond, Mrs. Nettie Jessen and Ulfert Wiltfang of Brunswick. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kube of Bloomfield, Nebr., Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Petersen and daughter of Plainview, Alvin Jessen of O'Neill, Mr. and Mrs. Walt Jessen and family, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Jessen and family of Brunswick. Also four of his nephews from Burr, Nebr., Ulfert, Johnnie, Kurt and Pete Klassmeyer.
