Richard Arnott of Florida, N.Y., a retired Maintenance worker for Orange County Home and Infirmary entered into rest, Thursday, March 4, 2004 at O.R.M.C., Arden Hill Campus. He was 91. The son of Harry and Anna Brunswick Arnott, he was born September 5, 1912 in Florida, N.Y. He was married to the late Frances Craig Arnott. Mr. Arnott was a member of Florida Presbyterian Church; American Legion Post # 1250, Florida; VFW Post # 4662, Warwick; Wa-A-We Hunting Club; a 55 year member of the Warwick Masonic Lodge # 544. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, he was a Sergeant in the 1296th Engineer Combat Battalion Company C, a member of the NRA and the Seward Senior Citizens. Survivors include: one son, Richard Jr. "Skip" Arnott and his wife Lillian of Florida; two grandsons: Richard Arnott III and his wife Linda of Westtown and Scott Arnott and his wife Candy of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews and one sister-in-law. He was predeceased by two brothers, Clifford and Stewart Arnott. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2004 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY. Masonic services will be at 7:30 on Sunday Evening and Legion and VFW services will be at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Florida Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Florida Fire and Rescue P.O.
