Delmer G. Chesebro, 67, of 1816 W. Avalon Rd., died Saturday, Aug 8, 1998 at his home. He was born Sep 16, 1930 in LaCrosse, WI, the son of Don W. and Ruth I. (Dikeman) Chesebro. Delmer graduated from Logan High School, LaCrosse, WI, in 1949. He married Roberta A. Potter, Sept. 14, 1955, at St. James Catholic Church, LaCrosse. Delmer was employed by JATCO since 1959, retiring in 1984. He served in the United States Air Force in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, V.F.W., American Legion in LaCrosse and the Teamsters Local #579. Delmer is survived by Roberta Chesebro of Janesville; four sons, William (Marie) Chesebro, Kevin (Jody) Chesebro of Anchorage, Alaska, Michael (Brenda) Chesebro and Don (Carrie) Chesebro, all of Janesville; three daughters, Anna (Robert) Danielson, Diane Garnett and Michelle Chesebro, all of Janesville; grandchildren, Nicole, Brittney, Shawn, Steven, Tiffany, Eric, Nicholas, Jaymie, Kayce and Michael; a brother, Donald (Virginia) Chesebro of LaCrosse; and two sisters, Ruth Ann (Mathew) Potter of Edgerton and Mary (James) Winder of LaCrosse; and loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Ray Kertz officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery with full military rites. Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schneider Funeral Home, Janesville, with a Rosary at 5:30 p.m. Special thanks to Hospice Care, Inc. and their caring staff.
