MRS. JOSEPH LAVARDA

Mrs. Corone Lavarda, 77, of Brownsville, R. 1, died early today at Waupun Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for three days.

Born in Italy Oct 30, 1888, she was the daughter of Michael and Kathleen Valle. She had been in this country for 45 years. She was the widow of Joseph Lavarda, who preceded her in death in 1953.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edgar Garriety, Brownsville, R. 1, and Mrs. Milton Sterr, Knowles; two sons, John Lavarda, Cleveland, Ohio, and Geno M. Lavarda, rural West Bend; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, John Valle, of rural Brownsville; and one brother and one sister in Italy.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Kietzer Funeral Home, Lomira. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Church, Le Roy, the Rev. Anthony Gundrum officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
