Otha C. Skipworth

DECATUR -- Otha Carroll Skipworth, 82, 100 Wilson St., Apt. 608, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 1994, at Cullman Community Hospital.

He was a native of Colbert County, a member of Somerville Pentecostal Church, an Army veteran of World War II and the brother of the late Jimmy Skipworth.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Spry Funeral Home chapel, Athens, with Richard Craft and Jerry Biggers officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Decatur.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Carroll Skipworth, Tanner; daughter, Martha Hardin, Somerville; brothers, Stanley Skipworth, Tuscumbia, David Skipworth, Russellville, William Skipworth, North Carolina; sisters, Ethel Weaver, Ruth Williams, Myrtle Riley, Ludie Gifford, all of Florence, Edna Rickard, Illinois, Carol Nichols, Leighton, Dorothy Butler, Mississippi, Emma Jean Clemons, Killen; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Bearers will be Michael Pylant, Timothy Hardin, Chris Skipworth, Carson Peters, Adam Pylant and Mac Russell.
