HERBERT ELIAS BEASLEY, born on December 9, 1928 in Abilene, TX to Daniel Edward and Myrtie Lou "King" Beasley. He went to meet his Lord and Savior on April 22, 2010 in Pasadena, TX. He is survived by son Kevin and daughter Melinda, both of Pasadena, TX. Also survived by four siblings; sisters, Margaret Walker of Canon City, CO, Alma Helton of Abilene, TX, and brother, Joe Beasley of Abilene, TX. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Gladys in 1995. Herbert and Gladys were married in 1957 by Pastor and beloved friend, Dr. B.J. Martin.

Herb was a 55 year member of South Main Baptist Church of Pasadena, TX, a 50 plus member of Masonic Lodge #1155, Houston Scottish Rite and Arabia Shrine and he served his country in the U.S. Army in Korea.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, April 25, 2010 between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 at Grand View Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 on Monday, April 26, 2010 at South Main Baptist Church 4300 E. Sam Houston Parkway S., Pasadena, TX 77505, Dr. Ron Lyles and Reverend Bobby Miller, officiating. The honor to serve as Pall Bearers has been bestowed upon O. J. Abshire, Stanley Clayton, Bobby Baker, Mitch McCoy, James McNeil, Donald Ward, and Wes Neal. Honorary Pall Bearers will be all members of the Rock of Ages Men's Bible Class. A private interment will take place at Grand View Memorial Park.
