A Pulaski County native, she was born in the Norfleet community, daughter of the late Elmer Lee Roberts and Mary Katherine Dalton. She was a member of the Lodge Church of God and former member of Monticello Railroad Museum.
Survivors include four sons, Essel (and Betty) Burton, Clinton, Ill., Waylon (and Carol) Burton, Arthur, Ill., Verlin Burton, Monticello, Ill., and Robert (and Carla) Burton, Weldon, Ill.; a daughter, Charlene (and Ralph) Bailey, Louisville, Ill.; two brothers, Robert Roberts, Somerset, and Van Hoy Roberts, Nancy; two sisters, Minnie Baker, Wolcott, Ind., and Emma Burton, Nancy, Ky.; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Burton, whom she married Oct. 10, 1941, in Russell Springs, Ky., and who died April 23, 1978; her parents; a son; a daughter; a brother; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Calvert Funeral Home, 201 South Center St., Clinton, Ill., with Bro. Jerry Park officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Clinton. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
