She was born on February 9, 1904 at Biggs Point, now Columbia Heights, to the union of James David and Addie Hundley Yarborough.
Miss Yarborough was retired, having been a teacher in the public school system for some 37 years. She was a graduate of Columbia High School, Normal College (now NSU), and earned a master's degree from Mississippi College.
She pursued graduate studies at Louisiana Tech, Tulane, University of Colorado, Northeastern University, and NLU.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society. She was a longtime member of Columbia Heights Baptist Church.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Julius Russell officiating. Interment followed in the Welcome Home Cemetery near Grayson under direction of Riser and Son, Columbia.
Survivors include a sister, Rosalie Yarborough of West Monroe; one brother, James David Yarborough, Jr. of Centerville, Tenn.; two nephews and many grandnieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Rick Duckett, Chuck Masoner, Buddy Hundley, Jerry Duke, Binus Duke and Steve May.
