Mr. Yarborough, a resident of Columbia all his life, had been in business there 55 years and retired only two years ago. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 164 F & AM and had last summer received his 50-year membership certificate in that group. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia.
Remains will be at Riser and Son Funeral Home in Columbia until time for services. Interment will be in Columbia Heights cemetery but arrangements for services were pending late yesterday. Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Columbia Heights Baptist Church with burial in Columbia Heights Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. J. D. Yarborough, Sr.; three daughters, Miss Irma Yarborough, Columbia; Mrs. L. E. Norwood, Columbia, and Miss Rosalie Yarborough of Washington, D.C.; one son, J. D. Yarborough, Jr. of Columbia; two grandchildren, Jimmie and Charles Norwood of Columbia.
