Sadie Hendrix was born in Barclay, IL the daughter of Hiram Anthony Hendrix and Nancy Blue. Sadie was the 12th in a family of 14. Her parents moved to the Overton Nebraska area about 1888. That is where she met and married Thomas Edgar " Ed" Morgan in 1904. They lived for a while between Overton and Lexington in Dawson County. The family then moved to Garden County Nebraska. They were the parents of four children: Jack, the twins Lewis Valentine and Lucille Adeline, and Glen.
Sadie divorced Ed Morgan in 1923. She lived in Lexington after the divorce. Sadie eventually moved to Portland to live with Lewis and his wife Esther Morgan. Paul Naviaux married Sadie in 1948. Paul died in 1955. He is buried in Greenwood cemetery with Bessie Hendrix Naviaux. Who was Sadie's older sister.
