Services for Leona C. Boyd, 97, of 3313 Center Street, who died of pneumonia Friday at Iowa Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Dunn's Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Russell Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyd was born in Guss and had lived in Des Moines since 1918. She was a retired elevator operator at the State Historical Building and belonged to Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Thesa Shady of Des Moines, a step-daughter, Mildred Kale of Truro, two step-sons, Clell and Dwain Boyd, both of Bothell, Wash.; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
