Mrs. Annie Reynolds Hughes, age 93 of PO Box 86 Mt. Vernon, Ga., died Wednesday June 25, 1986 at Wheeler County Hospital following a brief illness.
The homemaker was a native of Montgomery County and had spent most of her life there. She was the daughter of the late John Amos and Ada Graham Reynolds.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Hughes is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ben Maybin and Mrs. Edward Richardson, Mt. Vernon; one sons, Will Thomas Hughes, Mt. Vernon; one sister, Mrs. Clyde Faircloth, Smithville; four brothers, Felton Reynolds, St. Louis, Mo., Woodrow Reynolds, Norristown, A. J. Reynolds, Beach Island, SC, and Elbert Reynolds, Vidalia.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hughes were held at the First Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon at 3:00pm on Friday, June 27, 1986 with the Rev. Jack Fernandez officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ronnie Durham. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Gregg Maybin, Doug Maybin, Bubba Richardson, Tommy Jinks, Eddie Reynolds, and Jimmy Faircloth. Murchison Funeral Home of Vidalia was in charge of arrangements
