Born in Laurens, SC, she was a daughter of Brian Simmons of Enoree, SC, and Teresa Diane Butler Simmons of Laurens, SC, was a home maker and attended First Assembly of God in Laurens, SC.

Surviving in addition to her parents are four sons, Charles "Jaden", Jacob Lee, Jeffrey "Jace", and Jalin Ray Dornberg, all of the home; two brothers, Scottie Lee Butler and Wesley Tyler Tucker, both of Laurens, SC; maternal grandparents, Eddie and Diane Stewart of Laurens, SC, and Johnnie and Reba Simmons of Enoree, SC; and maternal great-grandmother, Edna Powers of Laurens, SC.

She was predeceased by maternal great-grandfathers, Jim Powers and Albert Hughes.

Cause of Death: Suicide by hanging.
