She was born April 10, 1945, in Dayton to Louis and Hazel Custer Dickman, who preceded her in death. On July 12, 1968, in St. Marys she married John C. Rumer Sr., who died Jan. 12, 1991.
Mrs. Rumer was an assembler at Copeland Corp. in Sidney. She attended Hillcrest Baptist Church, Bellefontaine.
Survivors include a son, John (Patty) Rumer, of Bellefontaine; a daughter, Melissa (Tony) Parmer, of Fayetteville, N.C.; a sister, Janelle Sweigart, of Ocala, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Ashley, Bethany and Brandon.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Flack.
Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eichholtz Funeral Home, Bellefontaine. Pastor Jeffory Willitts will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
