: James Edwin Chambliss, 78 of Camden, AR was born January 27, 1933 in Calhoun County to James Alvah and Ethel Sanders Chambliss and passed away Monday, October 03, 2011. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Alvah and Ethel Sanders Chambliss; wife, Linda Williams Chambliss; daughter, Patricia Coffman; and sisters, Allene Johnson and Clemmie McCoy.

He is survived by his daughter, Kim Ponder and husband, Mike of Camden, AR; two sons,Doug Chambliss and wife, Pam of Camden, AR and Eddie Chambliss; grandsons, Blake Ponder and fiance, Brittany of Camden, AR and Chris Chambliss and wife, Jennifer of Camden, AR; great granddaughter, Trisjen of Stephens, AR; brother, Charles Chambliss of Arkadelphia, AR; and sisters, Bertha Hendrix of Pine Bluff, AR, Ann Harmon of Arkadelphia, AR, Bernice Robertson of Camden, AR, Louise James of Oklahoma, Jess Strickland of Hampton, AR and Carolyn Evans of Heber Springs, AR.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 06, 2011 at Proctor Funeral Home. Loren Strickland and Danny Harmon will officiate the services.
