Roy Lawrence was th oldest of five children born to John and Ida Lawrence. siblings: Hazel(Nibs)Hess, Ruth (Walt)Sell, Don and Harry.

Roy was a farmer NW of Brook. In 1916 he married Mellie Little. They had 3 children. Their oldest son, Jack died in 1933. They also had a son, Gaylord and Daughter, Charlotte (William) Cunningham.

"Buzz" and Mellie were members of the Brook United Methodist Church. They were good neighbors and friends. Mellie shared her beautiful flowers and Roy his good humor. Roy lived to be 87 and Mellie died at age of 96

Buzz is my grandfather. He always had a pack of chicklets hum in his shirt pocket and a smile on his face. His good humor is what I remember best. I went to visit him in the hospital not long before his death and he told me I ought to be a physical therapist because those girls were pretty cute. I actually considered becoming one, but settled on radiology. Thanks, grandpie, for being a great influence in my life. Love you! Linda
