Served in Battery H First Ohio Light Artillery and Co. I 186th Ohio Infantry. A search through the Veterans Administration's National Gravesite Locator lists "Cutlip" as buried in this grave. They have no record of a "Cattiss." The Civil war Soldiers and Sailors System has no listing for any "Cattiss." At this point, one can only assume that the inscription is incorrect.
Born ca 1836 in Nicholas County, Virginia.
