John Winslow was born John Homer Case. He was the second born child of Sarah Narcisse (Hannah) and William George Washington Case. He married Louisa Evaline "Eva" Watkins and had six children. He left his family and Elkland Missouri and headed to Deming, New Mexico in the 1920's. He married Hattie Winslow and took on her last name. He reunited with his children years later.
