Obituary for Frances Malatek

MRS. FRANCES MALATEK PASSES AWAY SUNDAY

Mrs. Frances Malatek who lived on the Victor Harral farm passed away at 2:30 Sunday morning. The deceased was born in Europe, but had been a resident of this county for some years. She was 78 years of age.
Funeral services were held for her this morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. James Catholic church. Rev. Paar, priest in charge here officiating. He took for the text of his sermon "Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord."
Mrs. Malatek was a devoted wife and mother and leaves a large family to mourn her death. She had eight children, four sons and four daughters.The sons are Antone, Charles and Joe Malatek of Gonzales and Frank Malatek of Matagorda. The daughters are Mesdames Frances Zavadil and Annie Tomas of Gonzales and Mesdames Antonie Zavadil and Alouisa Barta of Cheapside. She leaves forty one grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Interment took place at the City Cemetery.
Six of her grandsons acted as pallbearers. The funeral was well attended.
