On April 15, 2010 Hal Moss left this earth to reunite with his wife Laura. This day is significant for them because it was their 66th wedding anniversary. What a Happy Reunion! He lived in Eagle, Idaho for 38 years and made many wonderful friends there.
Hal was born on Dec. 8, 1920 to George Willard and Louise Haight Moss. He lived on a farm in Tremonton, Utah until the age of seven. He often shared fond memories of life on the farm. It was there he gained his love of horses. He could drive a team, a four horse hitch, or four abreast by the age of five. Hal's family eventually settled in Roy. He joined the National Guard in October 1937. His battalion served in the South Pacific in 1942. He was a veteran of WWII. He married Laura B Church on April 15, 1944 in Salina, Kansas. On May 20 1955, he and Laura were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Hal worked for Western Auto as a truck driver from 1948 until 1982. He was proud of his four million miles safety record. Hal and Laura enjoyed square dancing for 42 years. He loved to garden. He carefully planned his garden each year and was so proud of the home bottled fruits and vegetables he had in his food storage. He was the Master Gardener. He was a true believer in self reliance. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He held many positions. He and Laura served a two year Temple mission in the Boise Temple and loved the work they did there. After retiring, Hal and Laura became ‘snow birds'. They traveled the USA, Canada and Alaska in a Ford pick up and a 32 foot Fireball trailer. Hal knew the value of hard work. He helped with the onion harvest for Bennett Farms in West Point from 1986 -2005. He had a love for the land. He was a true farmer at heart.

Survivors include: one daughter, Jeanne McGavin (Chad), two sons, Dale Moss (Diane), and Donny Droesbeke, 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, one sister, June Granquist.
