Lilly Petty Spendlove
HURRICANE—Funeral services will be conducted In North L D S ward chapel here Wednesday at 3 p.m. for Mrs. Lilly Petty Spendlove, 50. wife of George I. Spendlove, who died in a Cedar City hospital late Saturday after a major operation.

She was born at Rockville July 17, 1892 a daughter of Frank H. and Sarah Jane Petty. She was married to Mr. Spendlove August 1, 1916, in the St. George L D S temple.

An active church worker, Mrs. Spendlove had been prominent in the Hurricane Relief society and as a Beehive leader in the YWMIA. She had also been active in Red Cross work in Washington county.

She is survived by her husband, eight sons and daughters, Mrs Shirley Glore, Ladean, Ethelyn, Dorothy, Clark, and George Spendlove Jr., all of Hurricane: Ruth Spendlove of Cedar City, and Earl Spendlove of Fort Sill, Okla; five brothers and sisters, Dr. Frank H. Petty of Cedar City, Dr. Edgar Petty of Burbank, Cal., Charles B. Petty of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Janie Demille of Monroe, and Mrs. Ethel Baker of Fillmore.
