WAYNESBORO, Ga. - Joel T. McDonald, Sr., 63, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at his home. He was born April 12, 1943 in Glascock County, GA, to George and Hazel Walden McDonald. He had lived in Waynesboro for the past 28 years. Now retired, he had worked at Southern Machine Company, where he was a Foreman, Burke County Highway Department, and Toyota Forklift, of Augusta. He was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship Church in Sardis. Joel was preceded in death by his father, and a son, Joel T. McDonald, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Frances F. McDonald; five children, Christopher McDonald, of Augusta; Stacey Page, of Virginia Beach, VA; Timothy S. Courtney, of Tennessee; Carl Keith Courtney, of Hephzibah; and Mark David Courtney, of Florida; his mother, Hazel Walden McDonald; sister, Gloria Peluso, of Gibson; and three grandchildren, Aidan & Hadley McDonald, and Michael James Courtney.
