Canal Fulton - Earl Hitchcock, 898, of Adamsville, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000, Genesis Hospice Morrison House, Zanesville.
Born March 13, 1910, in Proctor, W. Va., he worked as an oil field worker, and had also worked for both Buckeye Supply and Bethesda Hospital.
Surviving are one daughter, Roberta Lowder of Adamsville; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elaine Wolgamott of Dover, Helen Neal of Canal Fulton and Betty Tucke of Canton; one brother, Robert W. Hitcock of Navarre.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Hitchcock, died in 1997; his parents, Roy P. and Nettie (Colvin) Hitchcock; three brothers, Ford, Ralph, and Paul Hitchcock; and two sisters, Vanita Berry and Eileen McAdams.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, (Route 93, Canal Fulton), where friends may call one hour prior to time of service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Canal Fulton.
