Funeral services for Mrs. Lula Lamb, who had lived in Collingsworth County for the past 44 years, were held at the Friendship Baptist church at Buck Creek Tuesday, June 22 with Elder Elvis Pitts in charge of the service. Mrs. lamb, who died June 20, was 86 years, 5 months, and 10 days old at the time of her death.
Her husband, T. M. Lamb, farmed in the Quail community until his death in 1943. Since that time she had been taken care of by friends and neighbors. She was a long time member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by three half brothers, J. H. Wade, Ben Wade and Guy Wade.
Mother - Virginia Girtrude Chandler Wade, b. 8/18/1855 TX, d. 1/12/1879 Burleson Co., TX. She died when Lula was 2 days old.
