Etta Farmer, 88, died Wednesday, July 3 in High Plains Hospital in Amarillo.

She was born in Indian Territory June 27, 1903, the daughter of Ollie P. and Anna Boutcher.

She came to the Houselog community in Collingsworth County in 1918, from Bee, Oklahoma.

She was a former member of Quail Friendship Club and the Quail Booster Club. She was baptized in the Loco community in 1919 in a stock tank.

She and Ben Farmer were married November 4, 1922 at Quail. He preceded her in death in 1983. She was a homemaker.

Survivors are one daughter, Evelyn Jo Carson and son-in-law, John Carson of Quail; two brothers, Olan Boutcher, Anaheim, CA; Herman Boutcher, Fullerton, CA; four sisters, Willie Stephens, Hilmar, CA; Alice Goodwin, Palm Dale, CA; Gladys Ward, Yorba Linda, CA; and Viola Fite, San Jacinto, CA; two grandsons, John Carson, Jr. Crowley and grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Ben and Paula Carson, Quail.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers.
