Denton (1806-1841) for whom Denton County and the city of Denton are named. Sarah's first marriage was to Bernard Hill, and they had one son, Wilbur Fiske Hill (1844-1905). After Bernard Hill died in May 1848, Sarah married William C. Baker (1823-1903). Their six children were Virginia Susannah Baker Wilburn (1850-1942), Thomas Crutcher Baker (1853-1925), Catherine "Kate" Baker Shearer(1859-1896),James William Baker (1864-1939), Martha Elizabeth Baker Walker (1866?-?) and Minnie S. Baker Carter (1869-1910).
