S W Bagley found dead in Pasture. From 15 April 1926 Burnet Bulletin
Mr John Davidson, while out looking after his stock early Monday morning found the dead body of S W Bagley in the pasture near the house where he lived.Mr Bagley died suddenly,having only being gone from the house for a short while when he was discovered in the pasture.He had been in failing health for sometime however his death was a shock to the family.He was a tenant on Mr John W Davidson's farm in the Mt Zion Community.
Mr Bagley was born March 11th 1857 in Montgomery County Texas and died April 5th 1926 and was 69 years 24 days old.He resided the greater part of his life in Bell County coming to Burnet County several years ago.He was converted a number of years ago.He was regarded by all who know him as a man of his word and a good citizen.
Funeral services were conducted at Mt Zion Cemetery Tuesday morning at 10:00 by Rev. W G Griffith.Pastor of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Bertram.
Mr Bagley is survived by his wife and 8 children,5 girls and 3 boys beside other relatives and friends.
