CAVALIER CHRONICLE---May 2, 1974
Thomas M. Bjornson, 60, Gardar, died Wednesday at the Cavalier hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Gardar Pioneer Lutheran Church. Rev. Harold Manson officiated and interment was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Bjornson was born April 4, 1914, at Hallson, N. D. He was a member of the Gardar Lutheran Church and had been employed by Joe Mayo & Son Construction Co., of Cavalier for 15 years prior to his retirement two years ago. He was a member of the Gardar Lutheran Church.
He married the former Vyolet Eagleson Jan. 3, 1939, at Cavalier. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Jane (Judith Ann) Reed of Edgeley, N. D.; three sons, Douglas of Voltaire, May of Warren, Mich., and Brent at home; seven sister, Mrs. Sam (Christine) Simundson of Couer d'Alene, Idaho, Mrs. Ernie (Lillian) Sarazin, Mrs. H. G. (Elsie) Kristjarson and Mrs. Howard (Pearl) Ault, all of Grand Forks; Mrs. Gene (Margaret) Zimmerman of Marysville, Wash., and Mrs. William (Doreen) Johnson of Walhalla, and Mrs. John (Janet) Austfjord of Cavalier; his mother, Mrs. Asta Bjornson of Walhalla; a brother, William Bjornson, Walhalla, and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Barney.
