Memorial service for Warren "Pat" Dedrickson, 83, Clarinda, Page County,Iowa, formerly of Red Oak, Iowa, were held on Saturday, November 20, 2004, at the First Covenant Church with Rev. Alan Dean officiating. Burial of the cremated remains was in the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the First Covenant Church. Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Dedrickson died on Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at the Cox Health System South Facility in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born September 29, 1921 in Saronville, Nebraska, to M. J. and Esther (Nelson) Dedrickson. He was raised in Nebraska graduating from the Clay Center High School. He moved to Red Oak in 1939 and was united in marriage to Gladys Abraham on October 17, 1943. He serves his country during WW11 in the United States Air Force. He farmed throughout the years as well as working for the Nelson Dairy until going to work for the United States Postal service as a rural mail carrier. He retired in 1986 after 20 years of service. He was a member of the First Covenant Chruch where he was a former trustee and financial secretary. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife; Gladys Dedrickson of Clarinda, Iowa; four sons; Ardie Dedrickson of Omaha, Nebraska; Randy Dedrickson of St. Joseph, Missouri; Roger Dedrickson of Omaha, Nebraska; and Rick Dedrickson of Red Oak, Iowa; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Verne Dedrickson of Clay Center, Nebraska; and many other relatives and friends.
