Russell J. Richmond, 74, 307 South Walnut Street, Wyanet, died Tuesday morning in Perry Memorial Hospital. He was retired as a packer for Blind Industries and was a member of the Wesleyan Church in Wyanet.
He was born May 11, 1901, in Wyanet, a son of John and Lydia Hall Richmond. He married Blanche Dailey Sept. 3, 1925, in Seymour, Ind., and she survives in Austin, Ind.
Also surviving are two sons, James and Gorden of Wyanet; two daughters, Mrs. Donna Hollon and Mrs. Kay Owens, Austin, Ind.; one sister, Mrs. Floyd (Mae) Wyatt, Wyanet; three brothers, Roy of Kewanee, Howard of Tampico and Vivan of Wyanet; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Jensen-Johnson funeral home, the Rev. William Dyer officiating, and interment will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, and memorials may be directed to the Wyanet Rescue unit.
